Xiamen- China By Artūras Luškinas
Here’s a little something about my friend Artūras Luškinas’s experiences in Xiamen, China. He’s 19 and he’s worked in China and South Korea. Enjoy!
“Well Xiamen, Xiamen sucks a lot.In Xiamen there is not a lot of clients so there ain’t a lot of clients,the photographers are really bad as I heard and I say from my experience,both as photographers and as people :) I don’t like working with them,but they pay.Xiamen is not like Guangzhou,they don’t give you the money into your hands or the vouchers like in Guangzhou with Sherry :) amh,there are maximum 5 castings per week,the time that I was there.Not a lot of jobs,too.Xiamen is more of a sport brand city.They are more stupid than any city in China :D The club are really bad,there is no such thing as a club just for the foreigners,so every club you go there is always Chinese,99% of the people in the club are Chinese..in these clubs they don’t give drinks or anything for the models,actually they don’t know what a mode
l is.They drink Ice Tea with Whiskey in Xiamen :D the city itself is cleaner than Guangzhou and more boring,its a small city,its like a Chinese village compared to a Chinese village :D they have only one Burger King in the entire city,mostly McDonalds,no H&M.. its small,but the city is still under construction,maybe in years it’s gonna be a bigger and better city :)

“My name is Victor Costa,I am from Brazil.
And in China I’ve been in Beijing,Shangai and HK.
Castings in Beijing and Shangai are almost the same:pose,big pose,openyou eyes and smile….sometimes it’s really fast,sometimes you can wait even 2 hours,we never know!
In HK castings are so much better,you have from 2 until 6 h to go to your casting for exemple and you can feel free to go when you want between this time.the castings are not the same to everybody,so it’s much better and faster.
The parties in Shangai and HK are my favorities,hahaha,the best dance clubs everybody together,having so much fun,we have everythings for free there.Models table.and we can go from sunday to sunday to differents places.I JUST LOVE IT!! hahah
I love modelling,cause we have so many exepirences in our lifes,we can grown up a lot travelling around,learning differents things in different countries.this is so good for us and our future.
We can meet the best friends,people who we live with,and we are with them 24 hours per day,happy moments and sad moments together..,sharing so many things.The sad part is leave when your contract finish and you have to go somewhere,and leave this friends,they become so important,and is so hard to imagine the life in the next country without this people everyday!
With time we can get used to…and we just need to say thanks God for everythings in this last 3/6… months…thanks for this friendships i made here,and they will be with me in my mind,heart.we gonna meet again soon,and talk tomorrow and after tomorrow…and almost everyday by skype and facebook,wooohooool!!haha and so soon ROCKING AGAIN TOGETHER!!

Hello and Welcome
I will post to this blog some things about life as a model. About how are the jobs and market in different countries and how the everyday life is like. I’ll have report and regards from other people that work in the fashion/modelling world that will hopefully enlighten us with their experiences in their fields and places of work.
